Between Jerry Jones' antics and Nick Sirianni's tantrums, New York Giants fans have a lot to laugh about when it comes to their division rivals. Jones always finds a way to trip over his own shoelaces -- even when he's wearing Velcro.
As for Sirianni, he's constantly on the hot seat. Eagles fans are delusional enough to think they should go 17-0 every year, and the moment they don't, the coach gets all the blame.
Sure, Nick doesn't do much to help his case, but recent reports suggest that's changing... in a hilariously desperate way.
Since the 45-year-old is seemingly always losing touch with his locker room and fanbase, Sirianni has turned to AI to try to turn his fortunes around. The sixth-year head coach told The Athletic's Zach Berman that he embraced ChatGPT, asking it to "Give me a great relentless effort true sports story."
Seriously? He's so out of touch with his team that he needs to recruit a chatbot for his motivational speeches?
Nick Sirianni's ChatGPT admission is an early Christmas gift to Giants fans
Sometimes the jokes just write themselves. But for the sake of fully leaning into Sirianni's brand-new coaching assistant, I decided to ask ChatGPT to write up a joke about the Eagles' head coach:
Why did Nick Sirianni replace his entire coaching staff with AI chatbots?
Because it’s the only assistant he could find that wouldn't talk back when he tries to start a shouting match with his own fans.
Sick burn, Chat.
As you can see, the joke wasn't all that creative. That's sort of the problem with AI writing right now -- it lacks a human touch. Which is why Sirianni using it to get motivational material to inspire adults making millions of dollars makes it even funnier.
Sirianni has a career record of 59-26. He has made the playoffs every year in Philly, with two NFC Championship Game appearances and a Super Bowl ring. The fact that he needs help from a chatbot to help him get through to his team tells you everything you need to know about how things are going in the City of Brotherly Love.
He hasn't taken Jalen Hurts' game to the next level. He couldn't mend fences with star receiver A.J. Brown (who's now with New England). He's fired an absurd number of coaches. He's a prickly, "my way, or the highway" guy.
He has his flaws.
But his biggest flaw might be that he's so out of touch with his team that he needs AI to make him more tolerable.
For Giants fans, this is absolute chef's-kiss material to kick off training camp week. While the G-Men look to build a culture the old-fashioned way under new head coach John Harbaugh, their hated rival is literally trying to chatbot his way into his players' hearts.
If the Eagles' fearless leader needs OpenAI to survive his own locker room, fans are locked and loaded for a season full of laughably robotic Philly disasters.
