Odell Beckham Jr. hasn’t been shy about sharing his desire to return to the NFL, and that continued over the weekend as the veteran receiver participated in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic. While it was a flag football game, Beckham made a trademark one-handed catch, and made several other plays that reminded people he wants to play on Sunday again.

The receiver also explicitly got that message across with his words. Speaking with NFL media member Kay Adams, Beckham made it clear that his primary goal is to get back in the league, but that he would especially love if his return also included a return to the New York Giants.

Odell Beckham Jr. says he would love to return Giants, as he works to get back in the NFL

Adams introduced New York into the conversation, asking Beckham what does a Jaxson Dart to Odell Beckham Jr. connection look like, and the wide receiver instantly lit up. He responded by saying it’s sounds great, and that he’d love to have that opportunity, pointing out that he could fit right in with the young core’s energy.

This isn’t the first time Beckham has alluded to a reunion, dropping multiple hints in the past year about being open to rejoining the Giants. Of course, the decision is ultimately New York’s; does the franchise want to bring the popular receiver back into the building? The Giants do need wide receiver help, so it could be an option, but it probably isn’t going to be one of New York’s first few choices.

New York will continue to explore the free agent market, and eventually the draft. Depending on how things unfold through the end of April, that will ultimately decide if this reunion story will get off the ground. If the Giants can’t make any promising upgrades to the receiver room, they may call their old friend.

Of course, the current version of Beckham is far from the player he was when he last played for New York in 2018. The wideout is now 33 years old, and has dealt with injuries and a PEDs suspension since winning a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. While Beckham didn’t play in 2025, and received very limited reps for the Miami Dolphins in 2024, he did have a productive season with Baltimore Ravens in 2023, catching 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

John Harbaugh was, of course, the coach of Baltimore at the time, so if he enjoyed having Beckham on his roster, he could make it happen again.
