We haven't even reached the start of the 2024 season, but plenty of people already have an eye on the 2025 NFL Draft. What will the NY Giants and general manager Joe Schoen decide to do with their first-round pick? Ask us again in January/February.

Still, though, there's still plenty of buzz that the Giants will be moving on from veteran quarterback Daniel Jones next offseason. Should that be the case, a new QB1 will need to be drafted once late April rolls around in 2025. Who could NY target? A new mock draft from Pro Football Network has the G-Men on the clock No. 6 overall, with Schoen rocking with Texas A&M's Conner Weigman.

Will the NY Giants draft a Daniel Jones replacement in the 2025 NFL Draft?

"Conner Weigman flashed in 2023 before suffering a season-ending injury four weeks into the season. The Texas A&M quarterback has above-average arm strength to layer the football and has the vision and accuracy to hit receivers on time in any area of the field. With an entire healthy season, Weigman has the creativity, pocket presence, and anticipation to challenge to be QB1."

PFN's Owain Jones

In other mocks, we've seen Carson Beck, Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders linked with the G-Men, but this is the first time Weigman has been mentioned. Can't fault the youngster for that, as due to him missing most of the 2023 season, not a lot of people are too familiar with his game. He'll have a big chance to change that starting soon.

Last year before going down with his serious foot injury, he tossed for 979 yards, eight touchdowns and only two interceptions. He's got quite a bit of potential, but he just needs to make sure he gets back to 100 percent and stays that way.

Big Blue is going to have plenty of QB options next spring if they do in fact decide to part ways with Jones. If you weren't planning on watching Texas A&M football in September, you just might have to now.
