RB Dante Miller

At first, it seemed like there was some real hype for Dante Miller to push for a roster spot. However, following Eric Gray's epic performance against the Lions, Miller may have his work more cut out for him than we thought. Initially, Gray had a very quiet training camp, while Miller stood out, leading some to believe Gray could be released in favor of the UDFA.

If Gray keeps this up, though, Miller has almost no chance of making the final roster unless Tyrone Tracy receives an injury-reserve designation, which seems unlikely at this point. This really sucks to see, as Miller looked great against the Lions as well, running the ball 12 times for 63 yards, but there's simply too much invested ahead of him at this point for him to move up on the depth chart. It doesn't help him that former Chargers RB Joshua Kelley was just signed too.

Miller has the potential to be a solid back in the NFL one day, and the Giants would be wise to re-sign him to the practice squad if he is released. He may just have to wait his turn to see the field in the regular season as opposed to getting his spot right away.
