3 NY Giants who let Brian Daboll down in Thursday Night Football loss to Cowboys

If you're still fuming about the NY Giants losing to the Dallas Cowboys in primetime, you're not alone. Brian Daboll and Co. are 1-3 on the year, but they were a few plays away from being 2-2. Now, this team has to flush this latest loss and take some time to get ready for the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5.

Before we move on to that game, however, it's important to note that several players simply need to step their game up moving forward. In the loss to Dallas, multiple guys let this team down, arguably none more than these three players we cover in this piece:

3. RB Devin Singletary

Let's start off by saying that no one is expecting Devin Singletary to be the next Saquon Barkley for the G-Men. However, he's got to pick up his game a bit. In the Week 2 loss to the Commanders, a costly fumble killed NY's momentum. While he scored a TD in the Week 3 win vs. Cleveland, he lost another fumble.

Going up against Dallas, a team that had the worst run-defense in the NFL, Singletary couldn't do much of anything. In total, NY rushed the ball 24 times for 26 yards. Singletary finished with 14 carries for 24 yards. Yeah, that's not going to cut it.

2. Pass-rusher Brian Burns

Brian Burns had a statement game for the Giants against the Browns, posting his first sack with the team and forcing a fumble. It made people forget about his rough performances in Week 1 and Week 2, respectively. Against the Dallas offensive line, Burns once again couldn't get into the swing of things. He didn't post a single pressure on Dak Prescott throughout the entire night.

This came with him going up mostly against Terence Steele. Outside of the win over the Browns, Burns isn't even coming close to living up to the monster extension he was given by general manager Joe Schoen.

1. The Giants WRs with the game on the line

Drops haunted the Giants in this one. You can blame Daniel Jones all you want for missing on his deep balls, but there were multiple throws that he put on the money for his wideouts, yet they couldn't reel the ball in. Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton all had balls hit them in the hands in pressure situations, yet every single one of them hit the turf.

When you're playing a team as talented as Dallas, silly mistakes like this can't be recorded. Nabers, who had another unreal game, Robinson and Slayton are going to want several plays back from the TNF loss. They let both Daboll and Jones down with their drops.
