2. Penn State CB Kalen King

Prior to last season, Kalen King was receiving first-round buzz out of Penn State. The former Nittany Lions corner was consistently mocked inside the first round, but a subpar 2023 has dropped him to Day 3.

Is it merited? King struggled last season, but the talent is still there. He was lost at times, that’s for sure, but it’ll be up to coaches in the NFL to bring the best out of the former Penn State defensive back now at the next level.

He’d be a little bit of a project, but many players are when we get to these rounds in the NFL Draft. If King could return to form, the Giants could end up with a steal late in the draft, with someone who wouldn’t cost a lot at all.

Many teams decided to stay away from King over the course of his time in college, but he still faced a ton of tremendous wide receiver talent throughout his time at Penn State. He’s another player worthy of a dart throw for Schoen as Day 3 soldiers on. NY did use a third-round pick on CB Andru Phillips, but he could end up in the slot. Because of this, King could make sense for the Giants.
