1. CB Adoree’ Jackson
Of the list of former Giants players that are still a free agent, Adoree’ Jackson is the main name on the list and perhaps the biggest surprise. Sure, Giants fans thought that with the team’s need for a veteran cornerback, they might bring Jackson back, but given the fact that the Giants gave his No. 22 to rookie defensive back Andru Phillips, it likely signals an end between Jackson and the Giants.
What is surprising is that Jackson remains un-signed by any team in need of a veteran corner who is still capable of playing. Jackson might not be the same player the Giants had signed three years ago as a top free agent, but Jackson can still play at a decent level in the league.
In the 14 games he was active for last season, Jackson made 63 total tackles with eight pass breakups and one interception, which was a pick-six on Christmas Eve against the Eagles. It would be a major surprise to see Jackson not land on someone’s roster to begin the 2024 season and another one to not see him sign before training camp.
