Preseason has come and gone for the New York Giants and other teams across the NFL - it is now time to prepare for the regular season. The Giants are hoping for much better results in 2024 after a season in 2023 where they went a disappointing 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the sixth time in the last eight years.

Despite Big Blue's roster going to be looking a little different with players like running back Saquon Barkley and safety Xavier McKinney both leaving in free agency, there's still some level of optimism for this Giants team in 2024.

From the moves they made in both the draft and in free agency, there are still things to be excited about. So, what can we expect from the G-Men this fall and winter? In this piece we have some bold predictions for the squad, both on the positive and negative side:

5. Malik Nabers will surpass 1,000 receiving yards

After the Giants opted to pass on reaching for a quarterback with the No. 6 overall pick, they opted to go the receiver route. New York took phenom wideout Malik Nabers, who was highly touted as one of the best wide receivers in this year's draft class. If Nabers plays like he did during his final two seasons for the LSU Tigers, he could be in for a huge rookie season.

The Giants have not had a 1,000-yard receiver since Odell Beckham Jr. in 2018, and you would have to think a player like Nabers is due for a season like that, and why not? After having just 428 receiving yards in 2021, Nabers broke out in a major way in his last two campaigns at the collegiate level, as he had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. In 2023, Nabers had 89 receptions for over 1,500 yards with 14 touchdowns, which were all career highs. He has a great chance to replicate those numbers in Year 1 in the NFL.

Nabers showed flashes of just how good he can be during the preseason, as he had a four-catch game against the Houston Texans for 54 yards, as well as an impressive sideline grab he made in the game. The Giants finally have a No. 1 wide receiver. Will he be able to post more than 1,000 receiving yards? We think so.
