2. Ryan Tannehill

With the Titans drafting Will Levis last year, the writing was on the wall for Tannehill with his time in Tennessee. Tannehill remained the starter until mid-season before they decided to go with Levis as the primary starter, leaving Tannehill as a very expensive backup on the sidelines.

As Tannehill will be a free agent after the season, he will be 36 next season with not many campaigns left in him. So if Jones isn’t ready to go for 2024 and if the Giants aren’t confident to make DeVito the full-time starter after his rookie campaign, having Tannehill on a short-term deal could be a way to go.

Tannehill has always been labeled as a game manager and played most of his tenure in Tennessee alongside another elite back in Derrick Henry. So if the Giants do bring Saquon Barkley back, Tannehill can be in a very familiar situation like he was when starting. Even on a one-year deal, if Jones isn’t ready to go for Week 1, having someone with Tannehill’s experience might not be such a bad thing.
