The outstanding work done by NY Giants general manager Joe Schoen is something that has certainly made a splash across the league. Things have been headlined by Schoen trading for Darren Waller, giving Daniel Jones his mega-deal and much more.

After going 9-7-1 last season, the Giants could be in line to post double-digit victories in 2023. With the NFL schedule release coming on Thursday too, people are ready to see how things will shape out. Entering Week 1, the Giants are going to have high expectations.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz spoke with a longtime AFC executive about the G-Men, and his thoughts on the NFC East side are sure to fire up fans. At the top of the list, the unnamed exec loved the Giants landing Waller for Mike Kafka's offense.

Darren Waller will have high expectations for the NY Giants in 2023

"(Darren) Waller is the difference maker. He changes everything. (Parris) Campbell was a good add. We had (Jalin Hyatt) high on our board, but didn’t need a receiver. Tons of speed. "

On top of Waller, Schoen and Co. also signed Paris Campbell, while they traded up in the third round to land speedy wideout Jalin Hyatt. On defense, don't forget about Schoen signing defensive linemen A'Shawn Robinson and Rakeem Nunez-Roches, plus linebacker Bobby Okereke.

For all of the Jones haters out there too, the exec had nothing but good things to say about Danny Dimes. After inking his four-year, $160 million contract earlier in the offseason, Jones will have countless eyes on him from start to finish in 2023.

With the Giants set to take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 for a Sunday Night Football clash, people would love nothing more than to see Jones ball out in a big way, while throwing a touchdown or two to Waller. These two should be fun to watch in '23, no doubt about that.
