Countless people can't wait to see what NY Giants rookie wideout Jalin Hyatt will be able to do once Week 1 rolls around. Hyatt somehow fell to the third round, with general manager Joe Schoen trading up to land his services. Plenty of mock drafts had him as a first-rounder.
With his fantastic speed and hands, the sky is the limit for his potential. Just ask NFL legend Chad Johnson about that. The six-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro selection took to Twitter to show the young NY speedster some love.
Johnson thinks that the Giants made the biggest improvement to their receivers room this offseason, with Hyatt being the reason why.
Chad Johnson thinks Jalin Hyatt is in for a big season with the NY Giants
Fire us up over here, Ocho Cinco. Johnson was one of the best wideouts in the game when he put the pads on, posting six seasons of at least 1,000 yards. We'll go ahead and trust his judgement when it comes to evaluating young talent.
The fact of the matter here is that Hyatt can completely open up the offense for the G-Men. However, he's not the only addition to the offense that people are excited about for the aerial attack. Parris Campbell also has a ton of speed - we think he's got great potential.
While he's a tight end and not a wideout, Darren Waller could be in for a monster campaign. The thought of Daniel Jones throwing him the ball has a lot of people smiling from ear to ear. Come Week 1, the whole O will be ready to make a splash.
Things are trending in the right direction for the Giants as a whole. For Hyatt in particular, he's going to look to silence all of the doubters out there. Fortunately for him, Johnson is in his corner and that won't change moving forward.
