Anonymous 49ers players blasted Daniel Jones for rough Week 3 showing
The 30-12 trouncing the San Francisco 49ers handed the NY Giants on Thursday night somehow continues to get worse for quarterback Daniel Jones. In order for the G-Men to pull off an upset, they needed Danny Dimes to bring his best - he didn't.
Following Jones' poor showing, people have been clowning him left and right. As it turns out, multiple San Francisco players were enjoying a laugh at No. 8's expense. SF reporter Mike Silver spoke to several players about the big win over NY, with some guys, who were left anonymous, taking shots at Jones. Goodness.
49ers players ripping Daniel Jones and the Giants is quite frustrating
"“The dude did not want to throw the ball. Early on, you could tell it wasn’t gonna happen. Everything was a check down. At that point, we knew what time it was.

That quote alone is enough to make your blood boil, but Dre Greenlaw also made it seem like the Giants took a major chance on Jones and it's not paying off. Greenlaw made headlines in Thursday's game after a terrible cheap shot on Darius Slayton, so he should probably sit this one out.
In the defeat, Jones went 22-of-37 for 137 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. He once again had little time to scan the field and make plays, as the offensive line wasn't doing him any favors with their protection. Still, Jones simply had to be better and there were multiple throws he wants back.
The 49ers are riding high right now and we can't blame them. They're a perfect 3-0 and looking like Super Bowl contenders. Jones will surely be made aware of the comments some of the SF defenders made about him. We can only hope it will motivate him to be great the next time these two teams meet. For now, though, the 49ers players can talk all they want, which sucks.
