Awesome Isaiah Simmons quote makes the NY Giants win even better
This is your moment, Isaiah Simmons. As every single NY Giants fan has seen by now, the veteran came up huge for Brian Daboll and the G-Men in the thrilling 29-20 win on the road in Seattle. Was it a season-saving victory? Hey, we think so.
However, who knows what would have happened if Simmons didn't make his game-changing play. Seattle lined up for a game-tying field goal, but Simmons leaped over the line and blocked the attempt. Bryce Ford-Wheaton then took the ball to the house for six.
After the win, Simmons was elated. Beat writer Dan Duggan was on the scene and was able to provide fans with the inside look at how the former first-round pick was feeling. Straight up, Simmons didn't hide his emotions - that block and Giants win meant the world to him.
Isaiah Simmons could not have been happier after the NY Giants win
"Personally, I ain’t going to lie, for me, it was kind of a feeling of relief. I’m sure everybody knows the season isn’t going how I wanted. So it was kind of a feeling of relief. It’s been a minute since I’ve been able to go make a huge play for the team — since last year, really. Just being able to go out there and sh**, call it what it is, win the game for the team — shoot, it felt good."

Things haven't gone according to plan for Simmons this year. Plenty of headlines were made when he didn't receive a single snap in the season-opening loss to the Vikings. Simmons understandably was quite upset, calling out the staff a bit over that decision.
With the Giants at 1-3 entering Week 5 too, the morale wasn't high at all inside of the locker room. However, things changed in the best way possible with the 29-20 result at Lumen Field. And for Simmons, come on, how could he not be fired up?
The highlight of his FG block is going to be showcased for a long time. Remember last season when his pick-six locked up the win against the Commanders? That was unreal too. Simmons once again delivered for the Giants and he's loving life. He got a game ball and rightfully so. Without Simmons' block, maybe NY would have lost in overtime. Thankfully, that's something no one has to worry about.
