2. Tyrod Taylor's massive mistake that cost the Giants 3 points

This was the worst play of the night by far and it's one that Taylor is going to regret for a long time. With the Giants up 6-0 at the end of the first half, they had the ball at the one with 14 seconds left. A Graham Gano field goal was a lock and the Giants were about to enter the halftime break up 9-0 and with all the momentum in the world.

Taylor decided to do the worst thing possible, however, and audible to a Saquon Barkley run for a potential touchdown instead. Had Barkley scored, we would have praised Taylor for being aggressive and putting trust in No. 26 to get the job done. Instead, Barkley was stuffed at the line and the Giants didn't spike the ball in time before the halftime whistle went off. This was shockingly bad and Brian Daboll was not happy at all.

You just can't have that happen against a team of Buffalo's quality. We're sorry, but Taylor deserves plenty of blame here. We're not saying the Giants would have come out on top if a Gano field goal would have been recorded at the end of the second quarter, but it could have completely changed the way the game was played in the final 30 minutes. There's no excuse for this mistake from Taylor. He has to know better.
