The NY Giants defense sure is looking good heading into the 2023 season. The addition of Deonte Banks is monstrous for the seconday, while linebacker Bobby Okereke's four-year contract is still something that has people excited.

Okereke hasn't hesitated at all on several occasions in saying that he knew in his heart that New York was the best spot for him. He's also jacked up about the young talent he'll be suiting up with. In an interview with Empire Sports Media, Okereke was asked about the guys he's fired up to ball out with. The list includes Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari.

Bobby Okereke is ready to make noise for the NY Giants in 2023

That quote Okereke delivered via his talk with Alex Wilson and Anthony Rivardo of Empire Sports Media is awesome to see. Hey, if you're an opposing quarterback, you've got to worry about Thibodeaux and Ojulari coming off the edge to bring you down.

Now on top of that, you've also got to worry about Okereke making magic for the linebackers in the middle. The issue for Ojulari is his inability to stay healthy, but there's optimism that he'll be able to stay on the field for the majority of the 2023 season.

As for Okereke, he's going to have a lot of pressure on him to deliver for Brian Daboll and defensive coordinator Wink Martindale after he signed his $40 million contract. This was the kind of free-agency splash that Giants fans were dreaming off.

Okereke is going to have countless eyes on him once Sunday Night Football vs. the Dallas Cowboys arrives Week 1. Okereke, Thibodeaux, Ojulari and the rest of the NY playmakers (including Dexter Lawrence) on defense will do everything they can to silence Dak Prescott and Co. Something tells us they'll be able to do so.
