If you're an offensive lineman in the NFL, you've already got to be sweating looking at the schedule and seeing the NY Giants. New York has arguably the best pass-rush unit in the game, with the Brian Burns trade still being discussed across the globe and rightfully so.

Burns is a stud on the outside and he's going to be joining a unit that already features former No. 5 overall pick Kayvon Thibodeaux. Add in Dexter Lawrence on the interior and opposing lines are going to have consistent nightmares from start to finish this season. Burns revealed he's already been working out with Thibodeaux and he knows the potential is there for the NY defense to be downright electric in 2024:

Trading for Burns was easily the biggest move of the offseason for general manager Joe Schoen. Add in Malik Nabers to be the WR1 for this team and it's enough to get Giants Nation fired up for the Week 1 showdown against the Minnesota Vikings to get here.

For Burns, he's going to hope to live up to the hype - shortly after the blockbuster trade with the Panthers was announced, Schoen gave him a $141 million contract. Burns is now being paid as one of the top pass-rushers in the game and he's going to have to back that up.

In the first five years of his career, Burns has been a total stud. He posted eight sacks last season, but finished with 12.5 the year before. His 46 sacks in five campaigns is tremendous production and more of the same will be needed now that he's in East Rutherford.

With Burns and Thibodeaux leading the EDGE group and Lawrence being one of the most dominant defensive tackles in the game, it's a recipe for success for new defensive coordinator Shane Bowen. The sky indeed is the limit for the Big Blue pass-rush this season.
