Brian Daboll had a priceless reaction when asked about his impressive weight loss

Remember at the end of the 2023 season when NY Giants head coach Brian Daboll said he was going to get started on a new diet? Well, it looks like he stuck true to things and perhaps he joined some of his players in the weight room.

With the Giants rookies reporting for minicamp, Daboll met with the media before his youngsters took the field. One of the main takeaways was that Daboll is looking slimmed down, as you can tell he's lost quite a bit of weight. He was asked about his transformation and provided a pretty funny response:

Come on, that's pretty funny from Coach Dabes. He's clearly been putting in the work this offseason and now he's going to be focused on his playmakers impressing on the field too. The Giants are coming off a rough 6-11 season, doing so after they made the playoffs the year before.

In 2022, Daboll was a rockstar in New Jersey, especially after he took home NFL Coach of the Year honors. Then, everything that could have gone wrong last season did, including Daniel Jones suffering his neck injury and then the torn ACL in Week 9 against the Raiders.

Because of NY's rough play in '23, the Giants ended up taking home the No. 6 overall pick in the NFL Draft, a pick they used on LSU wideout Malik Nabers. Nabers is already turning heads at minicamp, which has to be great to see for Daboll and his entire staff.

There are still a lot of unknowns for the Giants ahead of Week 1, including if Darren Waller will play or not, if Jones or Drew Lock will start and more. Soon enough, we'll get ready for camp to get here and even more questions will need to be answered by Daboll. For now, though, he can sit back and enjoy his first-year guys getting used to life at the pro level - and he'll be doing so indeed looking like a new man too.
