You had a feeling this was coming sooner rather than later. While there have been some exciting plays for the NY Giants offense at training camp, things have been pretty inconsistent for Daniel Jones and Co. Finally, it looks like Brian Daboll is starting to lose patience.

Day 6 of camp didn't go as planned. Jones once again was spotted underthrowing some balls downfield, while the offensive line's play looked reminiscent of what we saw from start to finish in 2023. That's not going to cut it and it's something Daboll won't tolerate:

Brian Daboll was not happy at all with how the NY Giants looked at practice

This is a good thing. Not that the Giants are looking sloppy in East Rutherford, but that Daboll is going to let his guys have it when they're not operating at a high level. The theme of this latest practice was sluggish play, which can't be the case.

It's one thing for NY to look this way in late July, but things need to be fixed and corrected before the preseason arrives. There will be no excuses for anyone come Week 1 either. Jones' play is the one that's going to be looked at the closest. While he has made some great throws, it's still a monster worry that he's having trouble with his deep tosses.

Too many times, we've seen him underthrow a WR by a mile. As for the offensive line, there's still a bit of movement, but they've got to step their game up as a whole too. The addition of Greg Van Roten will surely help, while we expect Jon Runyan Jr. to make a full-time switch to left guard.

Daboll has made countless headlines this offseason because of his impressive weight loss. He may be looking like half the man he used to be, but you never want to get on the other end of a tongue lashing from him. He's still a scary dude when he's ticked off and this is something several Giants players are fully aware of. This team needs to bounce back and make their coach happy ASAP.
