What will end up happening with NY Giants running back Saquon Barkley? That's the $1 million question countless fans across the globe are waiting to find out the answer for. People in New York and New Jersey are waiting for an extension to get done.
However, there's also a chance, however small it may be, that Barkley is a camp holdout. Even worse, the door has been left open for him to sit out the season. With that said, trade rumors continue to fly too. In a recent piece from Bleacher Report, they pitched quite the deal between Tampa Bay and New York.
The proposed trade has the Giants sending Saquon and a second-round pick to the Bucs for Mike Evans. A quick look at Twitter shows that fans in Florida are completely against this one:
If you were running the #GoBucs, would you accept this trade? pic.twitter.com/k94sxS7w2g

Giants fans remain optimistic a Saquon Barkley extension can get done
From a Giants standpoint, this would be quite the move, as they would land a WR1 in Evans. For a lot of folks in the Tampa Bay area, they indeed don't think Barkley and a second-rounder is enough for the talented wideout.
Mike is a buccaneers Legend, and Barkley is not constantly healthy so hell to the hell no

Long answer: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
They could throw in Daniel Jones and the state of New Jersey and I'd still say no.

No. If the Bucs trade Mike Evans, it should be for draft picks and not an overrated running back who wants a new contract

Those are only a handful of the examples of Bucs fans who are completely against trading Evans to the NFC East side. For a lot of Big Blue supporters, they don't want to see Barkley leave town either in the near future.
Coming off the best year of his career, posting 1,312 rushing yards, Barkley is at a standstill with general manager Joe Schoen. They haven't been able to meet in the middle in their contract talks, but the two sides still have until July 17 to get something done.
Until then, you better believe that more rumors will be arriving surrounding No. 26. From our chair, though, Barkley is simply too valuable for this offense for Schoen to even think about sending him to a new team.
