About two months ago, it felt like there was a zero percent chance the NY Giants would have an opportunity to select Ohio State wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. in the first round. Harrison is considered the top WR prospect for his class.

However, with the Giants at No. 6 overall, him donning blue did not seem likely. A lot has changed since, though, as four quarterbacks could be taken at the top of the order and the Los Angeles Chargers might prioritize an offensive tackle - potentially Joe Alt - at No. 5.

Should that happen, then the Giants would have their pick of Rome Odunze, Harrison or Malik Nabers at No. 6 overall. In a new mock draft for CBS Sports, Eric Galko has Harrison being presented with a Giants jersey by commissioner Roger Goodell on draft night.

Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Giants would be a dream come true for Giants fans

"Giants may have interest in a quarterback, but getting one of the top receivers to play alongside Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt would be a major win for Brian Daboll. Whether Daniel Jones is the long-term answer or not, the quarterback of the Giants in 2025 will be set up very nicely."

Obviously, plenty of fans are still hoping that the Giants will trade up to land a new QB1. Should the Giants move up to No. 3 thanks to the Patriots, they could either be looking at Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye or J.J. McCarthy. It really depends on what happens after Caleb Williams (presumably) goes No. 1.

Having said that, there's still the option of giving Daniel Jones one more chance to prove he can live up to the hype of his $160 million extension with the G-Men. The 2023 season was brutal for Jones, but the offensive line additions, including Jermaine Eluemunor and Jon Runyan Jr., this offseason could seriously help him out in '24.

If the Giants were to bring in a standout receiver for him too, then Jones would be in a prime position to play much better next season. It all depends on if Joe Schoen is ready to give up on his massive investment or not. Should the Giants stay at No. 6 and land Harrison, it will make Danny Dimes and plenty of Big Blue supporters happy. Harrison to East Rutherford indeed would be a dream come true for many.
