Daniel Jones receives new level of disrespect in Madden 25 QB rankings

On no planet should this ever be the case for Daniel Jones.

This is a new low. Yes, we won't argue with the fact that NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was downright awful in 2023. He tossed for two touchdowns and six interceptions in only six games played - not what anyone expected after he signed a $160 million deal.

Things were made worse for Jones with a torn ACL. However, when healthy and presented with a competent offensive line, he can create some magic. Are we just going to pretend the 2022 season never happened? Jones helped power the Giants to a 9-7-1 record and postseason berth.

This is meaningless to the team over at Madden 25. The popular game just dropped its ratings for quarterbacks leading up to the 2024 campaign and Danny Dimes was given a 71, which puts him below 32 other QBs in the league. So, Andy Dalton, the No. 2 QB behind Bryce Young, gets a 72 above Jones? Give us a break.

Madden 25 has provided Daniel Jones and the NY Giants even more bulletin-board material

Not only that, but first-round picks Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams have a higher rating too? Please. We'd argue Jones deserves to be higher than Gardner Minshew, Will Levis, Joe Flacco, Young, Dalton, Justin Fields and others.

Soon enough, the former No. 6 overall pick is going to have a chance to silence every single last one of his critics. While he has been a bit inconsistent at training camp, he's been coming on strong of late. In the preseason, Jones will see his first game action since his serious knee injury vs. Las Vegas.

Then in the season-opener vs. the Vikings, Jones is going to have everyone watching him closely. With a better offensive line to help out and Malik Nabers ready to put on a show, things are looking promising for No. 8. He doesn't need any extra motivation to look sharp early on this season, but the Madden rating is nothing short of a joke. It's almost astonishing.
