With camp just about here and the preseason around the corner, all eyes are going to be on No. 6 overall pick of the NY Giants, Malik Nabers. This kid is oozing with potential and he's going to be ready to put on a show from the start of this campaign.

Veteran wideout Darius Slayton is ready to see what he can do, with him also backing the rookie speedster. While talking with Keyshawn Johnson on his podcast, Slayton didn't hold back in talking up Nabers, even going as far as saying that he reminds him of Ja'Marr Chase. That's obviously something Giants fans are absolutely loving.

Darius Slayton knows a big year is on the way for NY Giants WR Malik Nabers

"He’s looked good. Honestly in my opinion he reminds me of Ja’Marr Chase, it’s like a clone. Malik’s about 6-0, they’re about the same size. Dimensionally they’re about the same, his body movements, it’s actually kind of weird watching him move around. He’s really talented, he’s got good hands. For us, our system, the biggest hiccup as a rookie is trying to get down all these terminologies (Brian) Daboll has for us. Once he gets all that down, you know, I think he’ll have no problem having success."

Hey, if Slayton thinks that highly of Nabers, then he's surely doing something right. The former LSU standout looked impressive at OTAs and minicamp, but with Day 1 of training camp practices coming soon, he's going to hope to keep turning heads in 11-on-11 action.

Slayton, who has led the Giants in receiving yards four of the past five seasons, is ready to do the same. He'll be taking Nabers under his wing and work to get him ready for the season-opener vs. the Minnesota Vikings.

People in New York and New Jersey are dreaming of Nabers posting 1,000 yards this campaign, which would be electric to see. If he does so, the comparisons to Chase will only keep on coming, while plenty of people will also be ready to dub him as the new Odell Beckham Jr. in town.
