After being a major part of the NY Giants offense in recent years, Darius Slayton is ready to help this team get even better in 2023. Slayton hit free agency this offseason, but he's back with the G-Men on a two-year deal. Entering the new campaign, Slayton is focused on being his best.

On top of that, he's also ready to do whatever is needed to help this team win. Oh, and Slayton could care less about what people are saying about him and his fellow receivers. In recent months, a major knock on the Giants has been that they don't have a true WR1 on the roster.

Slayton has seen/heard all of that negative talk. However, he told the NY Post's Ryan Dunleavy that he thinks the Giants are loaded with talent at the position and he'll be ready to step in and fill that role for this squad whenever his number is called.

Darius Slayton believes he can be a WR1-type player for the NY Giants

"I believe in myself. I believe in my ability. I believe in the work I put in the offseason. Whether we add 10 guys, whether we add all of you guys, I believe I’ll find my way on the field."

Darius Slayton told Ryan Dunleavy

Slayton may not be known as a superstar in this league, but there's no question that he's got big-play ability. We saw him record some electric catches last season, highlighted by his sick touchdown grab vs. the Jaguars in Jacksonville. Oh, and his TD vs. the Texans was downright awesome:

Slayton's impressive speed was on full display in that clip. With tight end Darren Waller in East Rutherford too, this is only good news for Slayton and the rest of the WRs for Big Blue. Last year, Slayton hauled in 46 balls for 724 yards and two scores.

He's never topped 1,000 yards for his career. If he were to make that happen in '23, Daniel Jones would love it - and his haters would have no choice but to take a one-way trip to shut-it town.
