Big-play city? That's what a lot of NY Giants fans are hoping to call East Rutherford this fall, as the Big Blue offense has what it takes to really take things to a new level in 2023. While the Giants shocked plenty of people last year by going 9-7-1, the offense left plenty to be desired.
That could change in a big way, as Darius Slayton, Jalin Hyatt, Darren Waller, Isaiah Hodgins and others are ready to create magic for the aerial attack. Slayton posted some monster plays for Daniel Jones in '22 and he's ready for more of the same once Week 1 arrives. Matter of fact, he's ready for all of the pass-catchers to turn heads early and often next campaign.
Darius Slayton wants the Giants to be more explosive in 2023
Okay, we see you, Darius! After signing his two-year, $12 million deal, Slayton has every right to bring up Ferraris in his discussions about the NY offense. At the end of the day, though, the Giants O was pretty vanilla at times last year.
However, the defense was able to step up countless times to help the team post a close win. In the future, though, offensive coordinator Mike Kafka is going to be relying on his playmakers to help NY put plenty of more points on the board.
The schedule is going to be a lot tougher for the Giants in 2023 compared to things in 2022. The low-scoring outputs by Kafka's unit can't be consistent this fall and winter. Slayton knows this, which is why he's ready for the playbook to be opened up and the speedsters on the team to be electric as well.
Slayton's got the right mindset and the Big Blue faithful are thrilled that he's back with the team eyeing a huge year catching the ball from Jones.
