Darius Slayton has made it quite clear on multiple occassions that he's not going to let any slander of NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones fly. Whenever anyone posts some hate against Danny Dimes, Slayton is quick to shut them up.
Take the Arizona Cardinals for example. They tried trolling Jones for tripping against the Eagles in their schedule announcement. Giants fans were annoyed all over the place. Leave it to Slayton to deliver the perfect counter punch, putting the Cardinals as a whole in their place:
NY Giants WR Darius Slayton owned the Cardinals on Twitter
Slayton off the top rope! The Giants re-signed Slayton this offseason, inking him to a two-year deal. Now, NY supporters are even happier that he'll be back in East Rutherford, as Slayton is a treasure on Twitter - in this case reminding Arizona that they've never won the Super Bowl and to quiet down.
He's also a pretty good wideout as well. Slayton came down with some big passes from Jones last season. Looking ahead to the 2023 campaign, Slayton will once again play a big role in what Mike Kafka and Brian Daboll are trying to get done.
The expectations are high for the G-Men this upcoming season. People are hopeful that this team can reach double-digit victories, while also booking a second consecutive trip to the postseason. In '22, Slayton caught 46 balls for 724 yards and two touchdowns.
As for Jones, he's a happy man these days after landing his four-year extension worth $160 million. Countless haters continue to doubt him, claiming he didn't deserve anything close to what the G-Men gave him.
Come Week 2, he'll surely use Arizona trolling him as extra motivation to put on a show in Glendale. Don't be surprised to see Jones toss for 300+ yards and 2-3 touchdowns, with hopefully at least one going to Slayton. Arizona is going to regret this.
