Last week, there were probably loads of you out there who were freaking out a bit seeing the rumors that Derrick Henry was on his way to the Philadelphia Eagles. One of the best running backs in the game joining an offense that already features Jalen Hurts? Please, no.

Thankfully, it looks like Henry won't be making his way to the NFC East to face the NY Giants twice a year after all (we say this while knocking on wood). While Henry won't be suiting up for the Eagles, there's still a chance we do see Philly add a stud RB, as Bijan Robinson may be the pick at No. 10 overall. Still, though, people can breathe a sigh of relief knowing Henry is out of the equation.

The Eagles won't be trading for star RB Derrick Henry

After winning the NFC last season and nearly taking home the Lombardi Trophy, the Eagles are hoping to get even stronger on the offensive side of the ball. This is bad news for Big Blue nation, but the great news is that Henry isn't in the cards.

On Monday, Titans general manager Ron Carthon doubled down that Tennessee won't be sending Henry anywhere. Henry has rushed for at least 1,500 yards in three of the last four seasons. The man is a nightmare to try and bring down, there's no doubt about that.

Later this week, we'll find out who the Eagles will be using their first-round pick on, but the good news is that they won't be trading that selection to Tennessee. Meanwhile for the Giants, their run-defense just got a bit better with the addition of veteran defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson.

That part of NY's D will be much improved next season, which is fantastic for both Brian Daboll and defensive coordinator Wink Martindale. If some miracle goes down and Henry does end up with the Eagles, then plenty of fans will surely go into panic mode. We're keeping our fingers crossed that doesn't go down.
