The opening game for the NY Giants is almost here, as the Minnesota Vikings will be in town before you know it. Come Sunday, the G-Men are hoping to pull off an upset, as they're slight underdogs despite being the home team. Heading into that battle, the Giants, thankfully, are looking quite healthy.

That's because Brian Daboll and Co. have released their first injury report of the new campaign and there wasn't a single person who wasn't able to hit the field for practice on Wednesday. However, Micah McFadden, Drew Lock, Dane Belton and Gunner Olszewski were limited. Will they be ready to rock for the season-opener?

The NY Giants are looking healthy ahead of the Week 1 showdown with Minnesota

As things stand, the main worry here is no question McFadden. He was carted off the field in the preseason Week 2 loss to the Texans. At the time, there was worry that McFadden would be out for an extended period of time, but it's now looking like he has a real shot at playing against the Vikings. We'll know more about his status over the next few days.

Elsewhere, Olszewski is also still working his way back from a groin injury, which he also suffered over the summer. Olszewski will hopefully be able to rock this weekend too as the team's lead punt returner, but if he can't give things a go, then Adoree' Jackson could end up being the main returner.

It's not ideal, especially after Jackson missed seven games due to a knee injury suffered while returning a punt in 2022, but that back-up plan is there for the G-Men. Lock shouldn't be needed on Sunday - if all goes according to plan, Daniel Jones will put on a show for Daboll and remind everyone of how good he can be.

Dane Belton should be just fine too, as he and second-round pick Dane Belton will see plenty of action lining up next to starting safety Jason Pinnock. The fact that there are no serious injuries for this team right now is fantastic news for Daboll and his staff. It should give this team some needed confidence leading up to kickoff.
