After the Packers scored their go-ahead touchdown with only 1:33 left on the clock, just about everyone assumed the NY Giants would lose and fall to 4-9. Never doubt Tommy DeVito, though. The rookie quarterback went 4-for-4 for 53 yards on the final drive to set up the game-winning field goal.

Randy Bullock for the win? Yup. Before DeVito took the field with the game on the line, though, head man Brian Daboll revealed that he had a pretty simple message for his young quarterback. Big Blue Nation is going to love this:

Brian Daboll told Tommy DeVito to 'rip it' with the game on the line vs. Green Bay

If this doesn't further prove that Daboll is the right man for the job in East Rutherford, then we don't know what is. This also shows how far DeVito has come over the past month or so, as he's now 3-1 as the starter.

Remember when he first came on in relief of an injured Tyrod Taylor against the New York Jets? The Giants, and Daboll, clearly didn't trust him throwing the ball downfied - DeVito finished 2-of-7 for -1 passing yards. NY lost that game 13-10 in an overtime heartbreaker.

That loss still stings, as it's one that the Giants had no business blowing late in the contest. Nevertheless, that's in the past and now we can focus on the incredible things DeVito is doing with the ball in his hands. The New Jersey native, and proud Italian, tossed for 158 yards and a touchdown, while adding 71 more yards on the ground.

This all must be a dream for DeVito, as his family was in the stands at MetLife watching him put on a show. DeVito continues to win over hearts among the fanbase and Daboll's confidence in him is growing by the second. These two working together feels like a spectacular match - one Big Blue supporters are ready to see grow even more the rest of 2023.
