Giants Day 2 picks: When does New York pick next?
If you're still buzzing after the first round of the NFL Draft, trust us when we say you're not alone. On Thursday night, the NY Giants missed out on a quarterback, but people are still over the moon with wideout Malik Nabers being the pick at No. 6 overall.
Nabers is one of the best WRs for the draft class and he now provides the Giants offense and Daniel Jones with an electric playmaker for the aerial attack. As excited as Giants Nation is for Nabers, the hard work has only gotten started for Joe Schoen, as Day 2 of the draft is here. With that said, when will the G-Men be on the clock next?
The Giants hold the No. 47 and No. 70 overall picks for Day 2 of the NFL Draft
Taking a look at the second round first, which is set to get started at 7 p.m. ET, the Giants hold the No. 47 overall pick. Which position will Schoen decide to target? It's hard to say, but with the way the first round went, it's safe to assume he'll wait until later for a quarterback - Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr. are off the board.
How about a defensive back? The Giants are still looking for a safety to come in and replace Xavier McKinney. Guys like Javon Bullard or Jaden Hicks, out of Georgia and Washington State, respectively, could make a ton of sense as a second-rounder for NY.
Then in the third round, Schoen and Co. will be ready to make their final pick of the night at No. 70. How would fans feel about QB Spencer Rattler at this spot? The Giants could also look to bring in some running back help for Devin Singletary, as Florida State's Trey Benson would be a great get here as well.
