Is this really how we're going to react to a guy trying to be a good teammate? On Monday, shortly before the NY Giants took on the Philadelphia Eagles, quarterback Daniel Jones was spotted on the field watching Big Blue get ready to warm up.

With it being Christmas Day, Jones, who suffered a torn ACL earlier this season, could have stayed at home and just relaxed with his family. Instead, he decided to make the trip to Philly to show love and support to the G-Men. A quick look at social media shows Big Blue supporters bashing Danny Dimes. Come on, you've got to be kidding.

Giants Nation blasting Daniel Jones for being a good teammate is a rough look

Look, we get it, Jones was a bust this season and him missing the majority of the year with a neck injury/torn ACL was frustrating. We also understand that Jones hasn't even come close to living up to the hype of his $160 million extension.

However, the fact that folks are bashing him on social media for being at Lincoln Financial Field feels like a bit much. At this point last year, Jones was helping the G-Men put together one of their best seasons of the past 10 years.

With that said, 2023 could not have gone much worse for him. The year started with the 40-0 loss at home to the Dallas Cowboys, and outside of a miracle comeback win over the Cardinals in Week 2, the Giants looked terrible with Jones running the offense.

The neck injury in Miami was brutal, and then of course rock bottom hit with the knee injury against the Raiders. Now, it's up in the air if Jones will be the Week 1 starter in 2024, but the hate for this guy is seriously over the top. Hopefully he can work his way back from this injury and silence his haters early next season. Give this dude a break.
