On Sunday, NY Giants defensive back Jason Pinnock posted the play of the summer, hauling in a one-handed interception that had people confusing him with Odell Beckham Jr. Pinnock has received countless texts since then and rightfully so.

The first message that came in? It of course came from his father, who was blown away with the incredible play his son was able to make with Daniel Jones trying to find Darren Waller in the end zone. However, the elder Pinnock also had some sound advice for the NY DB:

Jason Pinnock is ready to fight for a starting spot for the Giants

That's a wholesome message and one that surely kept Pinnock grounded. He easily could have felt an ego boost after recording the remarkable INT, as Pinnock went viral. He was one of the biggest stories on social media throughout the day on Sunday.

However, his dad wanted to make sure that Pinnock didn't lose his head at all and that he remembered that he's still in the middle of a fight for a starting spot next to Xavier McKinney. Pinnock has made plenty of noise and he'll look to keep making both Brian Daboll and Wink Martindale happy with strong play.

The Giants worked out 4 linemen following the J.C. Hassenauer injury update

Unfortunately things haven't been perfect for the Giants and Daboll over the past week. On Monday morning, Coach Dabes announced that lineman J.C. Hassenauer suffered a torn triceps and he'll be out for an extended period of time. There's a chance he could be out for the rest of the season.

With that, depth is once again an issue for Big Blue up front. With that in mind, the Giants reportedly brought in four guys for a workout on Monday.

Per Aaron Wilson, the Giants brought in Sean Harlow, Tommy Kraemer, Chance Lytle and James Murray for workouts. No one has signed of yet, but you've got to figure that Joe Schoen will look to add another body or two for the rest of camp/the preseason.
