As we all know, NY Giants general manager Joe Schoen never stops working when it comes to adding pieces to the roster. In what has been a busy offseason for the second-year GM, he may not be done adding guys ahead of training camp in late July.

On Tuesday, the Giants reportedly had former Colts and Panthers quarterback Jacob Eason in for a tryout. Eason hasn't been able to make things work in the NFL just yet, but he's looking for a new place to call home after he was released by the Panthers in late May.

While Eason won't be pushing for a starting job, he could end up battling Tommy DeVito for the QB3 job if Schoen decides to make a move here.

The Giants worked out QB Jacob Eason on Tuesday

Coming out of Lake Stevens High in Washington, Eason, who had a tryout with the Cowboys earlier this month, was a 5-star recruit who signed with the Georgia Bulldogs. Eason ended up transferring back home to the University of Washington. In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Colts used a fourth-round pick on him.

Eason didn't last long with the Colts, only appearing in one game with the team. He then joined the Panthers in 2022, playing in one game for the NFC South side as well. When he was in high school and even in college, people thought Eason would turn out to be a stud QB in the league.

That didn't come to fruition, but if the Giants are looking for an extra body to throw the ball around during camp in late July, Eason could end up being a solid addition. For now, we'll have to wait and see what comes from this tryout, but keep an eye on Eason moving forward.
