Is this what things have come to for NY Giants general manager Joe Schoen? With Daniel Jones out for the season with his torn ACL, the G-Men are expected to bring in a new signal-caller to join Tommy DeVito and Matt Barkley for the QBs room.
Keep in mind that Tyrod Taylor is on Injured Reserve and he'll be out for at least the next three weeks. So, who could the Giants potentially bring in to compete for the starting job until Taylor is back? On Tuesday, Schoen and Co. brought in Jacob Eason for a workout per Jordan Raanan. If you've never heard of this kid, we don't blame you:
Jacob Eason is working out for the #Giants on Tuesday, per source. Giants are looking to add a quarterback with Daniel Jones out for year and Tyrod Taylor on IR.

Eason had a tryout with the Giants in the spring. He played a game for the Colts and Panthers the last two years.
The Giants signing Jacob Eason would make this season even darker than it already is
This is the best option for Schoen? No disrespect to Eason, but following his college career at Georgia and Washington, he's done absolutely nothing in the NFL for fans to even fake some excitement about him. At one point, he was a 5-star QB coming out of high school, but life in the pros has been nothing but rocky for him.
Since 2021, Eason has only appeared in two regular season games: one for the Colts and one for the Panthers. He's also spent time with the Cowboys, Seahawks and 49ers, but he's never taken a snap for any of those teams. Schoen might as well bring back Jake Fromm at this point.
