It really feels like Sunday's game against the Commanders is a must-win for the NY Giants for many reasons. If the Giants come out on top and improve to 2-5, then who knows, maybe it could be the start of turning around the season. This is what Big Blue supporters want to see.

However, if the Giants lose and fall to 1-6, it's really going to feel like it will be a lost year in East Rutherford, which could force the G-Men to be sellers ahead of the trade deadline. One player who has already been mentioned as a candidate to leave town is Saquon Barkley - but he doesn't want that to happen.

Saquon Barkley makes it clear he doesn't want the Giants to trade him

Barkley has a ton of love for the Giants, which is why he not only wants to close out the season with the team, but he also wants to come back next campaign and beyond. He and Joe Schoen were unable to work on a long-term extension, though, which has him playing on the franchise tag.

If the Giants drop to 1-6 or fall to 1-7 by next weekend and Schoen is offered a second-round pick for Barkley, would that be enough for him to accept? Who knows, but the hope is that the Giants won't still be stuck on one win. Against Washington, they have a great chance to improve to 2-5 and then next week they have a very winnable game against the Jets.

This team has what it takes to record a complete 180, but it all starts with Sunday's tilt. This NFC East battle could have a major impact on whether or not Barkley stays or goes.

Daniel Jones listed as questionable for Week 7 vs. Washington

As for Daniel Jones, will the fifth-year signal-caller be healthy enough to play vs. the Commanders? Head man Brian Daboll has left the door open for him to play, saying 'there's a chance' he'll be ready to rock. This feels pretty unlikely, however, as Jones has been limited throughout the week.

If Danny Dimes can't play, then veteran QB Tyrod Taylor will get the start for the second consecutive week. Taylor tossed for 200 yards against the Buffalo Bills, but he wasn't able to make the necessary plays to help the Giants post an upset victory.
