New Giants workout photos provide Saquon Barkley relief for fans
In what is becoming a new, awesome tradition for the NY Giants, Daniel Jones is setting up offseason workouts with Big Blue playmakers. Right now, there's a good chunk of NY weapons in Arizona putting in some serious work.
Among those on hand is star running back Saquon Barkley. No one has forgotten about Barkley and the Giants not agreeing to terms on a long-term deal. As things stand, No. 26 is set to play the 2023 season on the non-exclusive franchise tag, which will result in him earning $10.1 million.
There was some serious concern that some drama would be on the way between the two sides and that Barkley would potentially be a training camp holdout/have some beef with the organization. Yeah, that's not the case.
Saquon Barkley working out with Daniel Jones and teammates in Arizona is great
At the end of the day, Barkley can't be too excited that he didn't land his multi-year deal from Schoen, but that doesn't mean he's not going to be working overtime to get himself ready for Week 1. Barkley is coming off an incredible 2022 campaign. More of the same great play should be showcased in '23.
What's so great about these offseason workouts too is that Barkley and Jones have been joined by others, including new wideout Parris Campbell. During his intro press conference in East Rutherford, Campbell said that Danny Dimes had already reached out to him to train.
With some of his new teammates in the area too, it's only going to help the offense grow chemistry. Barkley being on hand only makes things even more special. There are big expectations for the G-Men next season and the same can be said for Barkley. NY supporters are ready to see him perform at a Pro-Bowl level once again this fall and winter.
