Oh Darius Slayton, what have you done?! As some of you may know, the NY Giants receiver is known for providing some pretty awesome/funny takes on social media, but his latest one has a lot of people in Texas a bit up in arms.

How so? Well, Slayton responded to a post asking which fanbase is known more for having little intelligence compared to a whole lot of delusion. Without naming names, Slayton used an emoji to go after Dallas Cowboys fans. This was pure gold from No. 86:

Cowboys fans are furious with Giants WR Darius Slayton

You just had to know that tweet from Slayton was going to fire up a lot of people. The Cowboys haven't won the Super Bowl since January 1996, and things have been a bit rough for them of late. Last season, Dallas was Super Bowl dreamin', but they lost to Green Bay in the Wild Card Round. Maybe that's a reason why Slayton has so many folks quite angry:

As you can see from some of the replies, Slayton is being reminded of the Giants struggling against Dallas in recent years. Last year was brutal, highlighted of course by the 40-0 loss in Week 1. That was an embarrassing defeat for Slayton and Co.

Matter of fact, Brian Daboll is 0-4 against the Cowboys in his two years as head coach. Dallas is the only NFC East team Daboll is yet to take down, but he's obviously hoping to change that this upcoming season. Slayton will play a big role in trying to make that happen.

The veteran wideout has led the Giants in receiving yards in four of the past five seasons and while there was some contract drama with him earlier in the offseason, that now looks to be a thing of the past. Slayton is in the last year of his deal and he'll need to play well to parlay things into a new contract next winter.

During the two games vs. Dallas in '24, he'll also need to play at a high level in what will hopefully be NY wins. Should the Giants lose both games, you already know Cowboys Nation will shower him with hate and bring up his most recent post while doing so.
