NY Giants fourth-round pick Theo Johnson draft grade: B+

Theo Johnson wasn't expected to make it to Day 3. So, with the No. 107 overall pick in the draft, Schoen made a move to land him and fans are fired up over things. With Darren Waller's retirement status totally up in the air, Schoen can't sit around and wait for him to make his decision. Johnson isn't a Waller replacement, but man, this kid can flat out ball.

He posted seven touchdowns in 2023 for Penn State. In addition to having sure hands, Johnson is also a fantastic blocker. With his 6-6, 260-pound frame, it's easy to see why he gives players on the other side of the line such issues. Him and Daniel Bellinger working together, assuming Waller retires, could be a solid and fun partnership.

Again, no one knows what Waller is going to end up doing. However, the Giants and Schoen aren't going to hold their breath and wait for him to make up his mind. If he doesn't return to the team, then we can look at this Johnson pick as great value in the fourth round.
