Another close win for the NY Giants? You better believe it! Once again, it looked like the Giants were going to potentially lose a heartbreaker, as the Patriots were driving late in the action. However, their attempt to try and force overtime on a field goal went wide left and NY was able to escape with a 10-7 win.

This wasn't a pretty victory at all, but hey... a win is a win. The offense was a bit sluggish, but the same can't be said for the defense. In this piece, we have our takeaways from the action, which includes our thoughts on a quarterback who should be benched for the rest of 2023:

4. Mac Jones can never start another NFL game again

To start things off, we're focusing on the Patriots and their nightmare at the quarterback position. You thought things were bad for the Giants there? Mac Jones, in stunning fashion, was given the start by Bill Belichick and it's a decision he should have never made. Jones has been terrible this year and fans had been calling for him to hit the bench.

Jones had a first half to forget against the Giants, throwing two interceptions. The first came when rookie Deonte Banks made him pay for a big mistake. Then in the second quarter, with the Pats driving, Jones tried to make something happen, but a terrible throw ended up in the hands of Bobby Okereke. What was this from the former first-round pick?

At halftime, Jones was then benched by Belichick in favor of Bailey Zappe. Jones has been getting blasted on social media for his poor play and people aren't going to let up soon. At this point, the Pats simply have no reason to let him start moving forward. He's a liability with the ball in his hands. He should never start another game for this team again.
