Bill Belichick is one of the best coaches of all time, but come on, what is he thinking sticking with struggling Mac Jones as his starting quarterback? Jones has not lived up to his first-round billing and he continues to haunt Patriots fans. Such was the case against the NY Giants on Sunday.
The Pats and G-Men are facing off in what a lot of people are calling 'The Tank Bowl,' as both of these teams are eyeing great picks in 2023. Well, Jones might get benched here soon, as he has already thrown two interceptions, including this embarrassing one to Bobby Okereke:

Mac Jones is looking like one of the worst QBs in the NFL these days
Just what in the world did Jones see here? This pick came after he already tossed one to Deonte Banks. In this case, Okereke made him pay for such a brutal mistake. From the moment this ball was thrown, people have been blasting Jones on social media.
The NFL needs to investigate the Patriots and Bill Belichick for playing Mac Jones.

at this point Mac Jonesβ errors are inexcusably bad but itβs crazy how poorly the Patriots managed a young QB that clearly looked like an NFL starter out of the gate

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that leaving Mac Jones in this game is tanking to the point of parody, and the NFL should dock the Patriots their 2024 first-round pick in response!

Mac Jones is literally helping Bill Belicheck draft his replacement, you know he's heated as hell

I think deep down when we saw Mac Jones walk up to the draft stage like this we knew he was going to stink

2023 Mac Jones is the closest thing we have to a regular guy playing QB

The fact that Jones is getting outplayed by Tommy DeVito, an undrafted quarterback who still lives at home and has his mom do his laundry, is quite absurd. Jones consistently has people pulling out their hair and we're just thankful Giants fans don't have to put up with his play. He's beyond rough right now.
Instead, Big Blue supporters have been able to celebrate the strong play of DeVito recently. Last week, he tossed three touchdowns in the 31-19 win over the Commanders. While the Giants offense got off to a bit of a slow start vs. New England, Tommy D was able to hit Isaiah Hodgins for a touchdown to put Big Blue in front. If the Giants pull off another upset win, DeVito will continue to be showered with love. As for Jones, things could not be worse for him and his team.
