The NY Giants are all set to take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, with Brian Daboll and Co. needing to post a road upset win - they already did so vs. Cleveland in Week 3. However, things are going to be quite tough for them on offense when they take the field against Mike Macdonald's squad.
Devin Singletary is listed as doubtful, but the expectation is that he won't be able to suit up. We already know that star receiver Malik Nabers won't be on the field catching balls from Daniel Jones, as he has already been ruled out for this contest due to the concussion he suffered against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4.
NY Giants WR Malik Nabers ruled out for Week 5 against the Seahawks
Nabers went down late in the contest vs. Dallas. He had about 10 days to get himself healthy to take on Seattle, but after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday, it felt like a lock that he was going to miss this one. When Brian Daboll announced he wouldn't travel to Seattle, the fanbase was pretty bummed out.
Nabers has been unreal for the Giants this campaign. In the loss to Dallas, he posted 12 receptions for 115 yards. The week before, he finished with two touchdowns in the stunning win over Cleveland. If the Giants take down Seattle at Lumen Field, guys like Jalin Hyatt, Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson will have to step up.
Is Devin Singletary playing today? NY Giants RB likely out vs. the Seahawks
Things are only made more difficult for Daboll's offense with Singletary likely missing this one as well. No. 26 has been dealing with a groin issue and he was given a 'doubtful' designation for the final injury report. It would be a shocker if the veteran running back is able to play. Look for Tyrone Tracy Jr. to get the start at RB, while Eric Gray will be in the mix as well.
