The expectations couldn't be higher for NY Giants first-round pick Malik Nabers this season. However, in order for him to make a huge difference for Brian Daboll and Daniel Jones, he's got to stay as close to 100 percent with his health as possible.

Because of this, Big Blue supporters were worried sick when he popped up on the injury report late in the week. We have a feeling that people who participate in fantasy football were also pretty concerned about his knee injury. Thankfully, though, Nabers didn't show up on the final injury report and he's all clear to play vs. the Commanders.

NY Giants WR Malik Nabers is ready to suit up against the Commanders

While the Giants will be without cornerback Nick McCloud, linebacker Darius Muasau and special teams stud Gunner Olszewski, Nabers is ready for his first action against an NFC East rival. In his regular season debut, the No. 6 overall pick led the offense with his five receptions for 66 yards. He didn't find the end zone, but maybe he'll change that vs. the Commanders?

Nabers finished the preseason without a touchdown either, so you know he's probably chomping at the bit to post his first NFL score. While the Commanders are small favorites to take down the Giants, plenty of Big Blue supporters think this is the perfect opportunity for Jones to bounce back after his awful Week 1 showing.

Having Nabers on the field making plays for him is surely going to be a massive help. Nabers is a superstar wideout for this team, one they've been missing since the days of Odell Beckham Jr. While the season-opening loss was a dumpster fire, that can be forgotten with a strong performance on the road on Sunday.

Early and often, Jones is going to have to feed his No. 1 wideout. Nabers is battling some knee soreness and tightness, but it's not enough to keep him off the gridiron for this one. If everything goes to plan, a breakout game could be on the way for the former LSU standout.
