Well, just when you thought the NY Giants roster was set ahead of the 2023 season, a new player stepped onto the field on Day 3 of training camp. It's safe to say that the G-Men have found their emergency quarterback - well, maybe not.

Regardless, Giants general manager Joe Schoen hit the gridiron on Friday and was seen throwing passes to wideouts Jamison Crowder and Sterling Shepard. Big Blue Nation quickly showered their GM with love and support.

While Schoen obviously will not suit up for Big Blue in 2023, fans were still thrilled to see their general manager ball out during Giants' practice. In the videos, the 44 year old throws two perfect spirals on the money. But where did this come from?

Did anyone know Schoen could toss the rock this well?

From scout to general manager, Schoen has worked his way up through many front offices to earn his current role with the New York Giants. Prior to becoming an NFL executive, he was a Division III college football player.

Schoen played quarterback as a freshman and wide receiver for his final three years for the DePauw University Lions in Indiana. The three-year letterman served as one of the program's captains during his senior year.

Schoen is entering his second year with the New York Giants, and it's nice to know he can contribute to the organization on and off the field. The front office under his leadership has been active this offseason after a successful first run with the team last season.

Schoen has made several big moves, including trading for tight end Darren Waller, retaining quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley, and signing left tackle Andrew Thomas to a five-year extension. Now, Schoen is opening some eyes by tossing balls around at camp. All in all, the vibes are strong in East Rutherford these days.
