All of a sudden, there's a bit of a logjam at wide receiver for the NY Giants, as there are now 14 wideouts in East Rutherford pushing for a spot on the 53-man roster. The expectation is for the G-Men to keep 6-7 for Week 1. Might Collin Johnson end up sticking around?
Johnson turned plenty of heads last summer, but a torn Achilles in camp ended his 2022 season before it could get started. This week in training camp, the 6-6, 220-pounder has been making loads of plays and opening plenty of eyes.

NY Giants WR Collin Johnson is looking sharp early on at training camp
It's great to see Johnson back to full health for the G-Men. This kid has a ton of potential and the fact that he's impressing thus far is a great sign for head coach Brian Daboll. With his 6-6, 220-pound frame, he'd be a great target for Daniel Jones in the red zone.
First, Johnson needs to keep playing well and hope that he can do enough to prove to the coaching staff that he can make a big-time impact for this team moving forward. Worst-case scenario, keeping Johnson on the practice squad to start the season would make a ton of sense as well.

— Don’t sleep on WR Collin Johnson. He looked good in 1 on 1s.
— First full pads practice next week. So no real OL/DL observations yet.
The Giants are having a lot of fun during their training camp sessions, but things will reach a new level once the preseason gets here. Things will get going with an Aug. 11 showdown against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
This is going to be an opportunity for a lot of the young playmakers to do their thing against a talented defense in Detroit. Johnson will certainly be among the many offensive guys that fans will be keeping a close eye on. If he keeps on playing well, we very well could see him in action against the Cowboys on Sept. 10.
