The difference between the NY Giants offense in the first half and second half on Sunday really was night and day. The G-Men couldn't do much of anything in the first 30 minutes of action, trailing the Cardinals 20-0 at the halftime break.

Then in the second half, Daniel Jones could not be stopped, throwing for 259 yards and two touchdowns. So, what changed? There's been plenty of speculation that head man Brian Daboll took over the play-calling duties replacing offensive coordinator Mike Kafka.

Daboll denied this. Then on Wednesday morning, Danny Dimes was asked about things while speaking to Kay Adams. Jones didn't hesitate in saying it was Kafka who was sending the plays in for him to run in Glendale:

Daniel Jones shoots down to the Brian Daboll-Mike Kafka rumors

Open and shut case, Johnson. Or is it? While Jones said that Kafka was still the one calling the plays, plenty of Giants fans out there remain convinced that Coach Dabes was the one who took over vs. the Cardinals.

The offense looked beyond stagnant in the first half, but Danny Dimes was electric in the third and fourth quarters. Without Jones and Saquon Barkley playing so well, there's zero chance Big Blue would have been able to post their come-from-behind victory over the NFC West side.

With the way the team was playing to start, fans were furious with Kafka and were even calling for him to get canned on social media. However, the mood changed as soon as the Giants took the field for the third quarter, with Jones hitting Jalin Hyatt for a 58-yarder.

With the tough San Francisco 49ers defense on the way Thursday night, the Giants are going to have to mix things up on O with Saquon Barkley injured. It will be on Kafka (or Daboll ... kidding) to have SF on their toes.
