Leaving the NY Giants to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles should be considered a crime in New Jersey. Unfortunately, that's exactly what's going to happen with running back Saquon Barkley, as he's saying goodbye to the G-Men and hello to one of the team's main rivals.

Barkley is probably going to want to mute his notifications on social media, as countless Giants fans are ripping him to shreds for his free-agency decision. Hey, Saquon got paid, but agreeing to terms with the enemy will never sit right with a lot of people. This includes Kayvon Thibodeaux. The star pass-rusher has seen the news and he'll be ready to bring Barkley down when he faces him twice a year next season.

Kayvon Thibodeaux is not happy with Saquon Barkley for joining the Eagles

That's just gold from Thibodeaux. On one hand, he absolutely loves Barkley and the two are quite close. Having said that, Thibodeaux knows he's going to have to take care of business whenever they're on the field together in 2024 and beyond.

Thibodeaux is coming off a spectacular year for the Giants, posting a career-high 11.5 sacks in 2023. After recording only four sacks in 2022 during his rookie campaign, it was great to see Thibodeaux perform the way he did during his sophomore season.

As for Barkley, we don't blame him for chasing a huge contract, especially after insider Jordan Schultz reported that Joe Schoen never put another offer on the table for him. In the end, Barkley was deciding between the Eagles, Texans and Bears.

Who knows what the Texans and Bears were willing to offer, but all of the great memories of Barkley running the ball for the G-Men over the past six years were wiped away when he decided he wanted to call Philadelphia his next home. Everyone at MetLife Stadium will be ready to boo him when he returns to MetLife next season and Thibodeaux will be ready to light him up with force when they face off.
