Want to body-shame him now, Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata? Throughout the week, plenty of people have been talking about the WFAN segment when the two hosts kicked off NY Giants legend Carl Banks for a heated argument on Kayvon Thibodeaux.

Both Tierney and Licata have been bashing Thibodeaux for quite some time and Banks was tired of it. Well, what do they have to say now? Early on in the first quarter, Thibodeaux flew into the backfield and delivered a great hit on Zach Wilson, with Jihad Ward there to scoop up the fumble too. Boom:

Kayvon Thibodeaux continues to impress this season for the NY Giants

Everything about that play was perfect. No one was going to stop Thibodeaux from getting to Wilson and he made the Jets offensive line pay here. Kudos to Ward too for making sure he had the ball in his hands before trying to move upfield.

With that massive play, Thibodeaux is now up to 6.5 sacks on the year, 2.5 more than what he was able to record during his rookie campaign. Not only that, but it helped the Giants jump out to a 3-0 lead thanks to a Graham Gano field goal.

Both Tierney and Licata on numerous occasions have said that they don't see or know what Thibodeaux does well on the field. They're not convinced in his game, making it seem like the Giants and general manager Joe Schoen blew it by taking him in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

However, Thibodeaux shut them up in the best way possible against the Jets. Thibodeaux has really looked strong over the past three weeks, with him putting consistent pressure on opposing QBs. Maybe next week Licata and Tierney will finally show him the kind of love he deserves. Thibodeaux has been a beast for Wink Martindale and Brian Daboll.
