Don't ever question the toughness of NY Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas. The All-Pro left tackle battled through an incredible amount of pain in the Week 1 loss to the Cowboys and he's continuing to fight leading up to Sunday.
Thomas missed practice on Wednesday, but has been back out on the field with the team on Thursday and Friday in limited fashion. Thomas wants to play against the Cardinals. However, things remain up in the air if he'll be able to take the field or not.
On Friday, it has been announced that Thomas will be a true 'game-time decision' for the Week 2 tilt. Will Thomas be able to give things a go, or will it be Matt Peart who gets the start at left tackle?
Andrew Thomas will be a game-time decision for the Giants on Sunday
We won't find out until Sunday afternoon if Thomas plays, but there are plenty of Big Blue supporters who have mixed feelings about this. On one side of things, some fans are hoping Thomas rests up and gets himself close to 100 percent for the Thursday Night Football tilt with the 49ers in Week 3.
However, the Giants are truly facing a must-win game this weekend after the embarrassing result against the Cowboys in Week 1. Thomas is one of the most valuable players on this team, without question being the key for the offensive line.
The Cardinals posted six sacks in Week 1, meaning NY must be on top of their game up front. After giving up seven sacks to the Cowboys on Sunday night, the group as a whole needs to show major improvements this time around.
Thomas very well could end up playing, but there's also a good chance he watches this one from the sidelines. A tough call will surely be on the way for Brian Daboll.
