It wasn't long ago that the NY Giants decided they were done giving Kadarius Toney any additional chances to prove his worth on the field. Now, it's looking like the Kansas City Chiefs and Andy Reid may be headed in the same direction.

Toney - just like he was in East Rutherford - has been battling injuries from the moment he was traded to the AFC West side. However, mental mistakes have remained consistent in addition to the speedster not being able to stay on the field. In the team's latest preseason game, Toney being flagged twice on his very first snap had people irate. With Reid already losing patience with the former NY first-round pick, it sure looks like No. 19 is playing himself off the roster.

Kadarius Toney has no business making the Chiefs 53-man roster

The general feeling across the KC media is that while Toney had loads of potential when he joined the team, he's been more of a headache for the organization. There have just been way too many miscues and the fact that he can't stay healthy led to Reid calling him out not long ago in the first place.

The injuries piling up haven't helped him either. Toney was carted off the field earlier this summer with a leg injury, which alone caused plenty of KC fans to roll their eyes. He's also not doing much of anything when trying to make plays too.

In the preseason Week 2 loss to the Lions, Toney finished with only one reception. That lone catch went for -4 yards. He also returned a punt for seven yards. He's in a battle to make the 53-man roster, but all signs are being pointed to him being released sooner rather than later.

Once he's free to sign elsewhere, do we expect teams to line up to try and make something happen? Toney's time with the G-Men could not have gone worse, as off-the-field issues were highlighted more than his electric ways on the gridiron. In recent years, he's made countless headlines because of his ongoing beef with Big Blue supporters.

Toney does have two Super Bowl rings and the longest punt return in Super Bowl history to his name, which is something we can't knock. However, he's going to go down as a first-round bust and one of the worst picks of all time for the Giants. Thanks, Dave Gettleman. Plenty of people thought a fresh start with the Chiefs would get his career back on the right track, but at this point, said career in the NFL might not last much longer.
