The wait is almost over for NY Giants wideout Malik Nabers. Come Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings, the No. 6 overall pick will make his dreams come true by playing in an NFL regular season contest. With high expectations placed on the first-rounder, he knows he has to deliver for this offense.

He's also hoping the fans at MetLife are ready to hype him up. While speaking to the media after practice, the speedster made it clear that he wants to hear from everyone in the stands after he posts a first down or a touchdown. So, what does he want to hear? It's simple: Leeeeeeeeeeeeeek.

Malik Nabers wants to hear NY Giants fans loud and proud vs. the Vikings

We have a feeling Nabers is going to have a ton of chances to have people screaming his name from start to finish. With a healthy and new-look offensive line, things are being put in place for Daniel Jones to be at his best. With Brian Daboll also running the offense, the Giants are expected to be more aggressive with the aerial attack too.

So, what does that mean for Nabers? Hopefully a ton of targets and receptions. His preseason debut didn't go according to plan, as Nabers was on the field for 12 snaps, but didn't post a single reception or target. In the loss to the Texans, however, Nabers flashed his potential, catching four balls for 54 yards from Jones - including this unreal one:

Nabers is going to be a special talent for this team and his first test of the campaign is on the way. The Giants are underdogs taking on Minnesota, but Nabers and Co. are going to want to protect their home turf in East Rutherford. Jones is going to have to play at a high level and his pass-catchers will need to match things.

Nabers may be a rookie, but there's no question he's the No. 1 target for Danny Dimes moving forward. This kid has what it takes to be the Giants' first 1,000-yard receiver since the Odell Beckham Jr. days. Soon enough, we'll see if he can live up to the hype. And you better believe Big Blue supporters will be ready to yell 'Leeeeeeeek' at the top of their lungs too.
