As we're sure you're quite aware of, there's a whole lot of college football pride each year whenever the NFL Draft arrives. People from all over the USA are fired up when they see someone from their alma mater hear their name called during the first round.

There's surely a battle between some of the top powerhouses out there to see who can have the most first-rounders each year. Come on, it's a great recruiting tool. With that said, which school has the most first-round picks in a single NFL Draft? Believe it or not, there's a tie at the top.

Alabama and Miami both hold the record for most first-rounders in a single NFL Draft

In this case, we're talking about the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Miami Hurricanes. Back in 2004, the Canes had six players, yes six, go in the first round. Those playmakers were Kellen Winslow II, Jonathan Vilma, Sean Taylor, Vernon Carey, D.J. Williams and Vince Wilfork. Talk about a stacked group.

Not long ago, though, Nick Saban's program in Tuscaloosa was able to match things in 2021, with Bama sending six first-rounders to the league as well. Those studs were Mac Jones, Patrick Surtain II, DeVonta Smith, Alex Leatherwood, Najee Harris and Jaylen Waddle.

Looking ahead to the 2023 NFL Draft, both those programs will have plenty of studs hear their names called throughout the weekend. However, it's safe to assume that their record of six first-rounders is safe and it won't be topped this year.
